Melvin would now be 60 – 65 years old, was a member of the
Singapore Cub Pack.

Changi before Seletar. Susans Father was a flight SGT. At Changi they
lived below Changi hospital, he was promoted and shifted to Seletar

anyone have any memories of Eric Mcreary during or since he left the
service bound for Huddersfield. 1956/7.
to contact anyone who knew his Dad who was in Singapore between 1967
Dad, Jim (Jimmy) Martin was based in Singapore, he was a radar
engineer. He was posted there and move with our Mam, Irene who was
from Shetland, Dad was posted to RAF Mossyhill in 1963.
he is suffering with Altzheimers and I am attempting to get a little
more history of his service days.
am looking for a very good friend in the RAF we were both stationed
at selatar we left the UK end of 1948and stayed there as conscripts
until 1950 when we were sent home for demob after two and a bit years
in the RAF my friend's name is Bruce Cox who would be about 85 now.
When we left Singapore l felt l was leaving home.
stationed at Raf Seletar in 1964 to 1967 the football team played in
light blue shirts light blue shorts and socks the change strip was
blue and white stripes some of the names I remember Dinger Bell, Dave
Gordon ,Taf Elk ,Micky Trainer Dave Merrylees and his brother to name
managed a Pop Band called the insight some of the names Joe Jordon ,
Royd Harris keyboards, Smudge Drums and later Dave
Magson Richard on vocals and drums to name a few does anyone remember
served as a rigger (flying boats), on 205/209 Sqdn, from 1956/59.
attended a flying boat reunion, at RAF Duxford, some years ago, but
lost touch with everyone when my wife died and I went through a rough
time. I have some wonderful memories of my service at Seletar and
hope someone out there remembers me.
